Knowing who will be receiving the writing results in letters or emails, but how exactly do you get started with creative writing?

That’s when it helps to have a prompt, an unfinished sentence, or an image that invites your mind to remember a scene or describe a character. Any of these can be a jumping-off point that inspires you to write one sentence.
